Frances Collar Hayes

July 28, 1930 - January 22, 2023

Frances Collar Hayes (affectionally known as "Meme") went home to be with Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, January 22, 2023.

Frances was the baby of six children born to Ira Newton and Florence Lorene Cooke Collar.  At the age of 92 1/2 years old, she was the oldest Cooke/Collar family member.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Dorothy Irene Collar; brothers and their spouses, Noel, Carl Newton (Margaret), Howell Avery (Opal), Erksine Ross (Eurleene); father of her children, Robert B. Hayes, Sr.; son-in-law, Joe Ballard; companion, Walter Earl Russell and her beloved Chihuahua, Trixie Lorene.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Vickie (Wally) Ferguson; son, Bobby Hayes; grandson, Nick Hayes; granddaughter, MaireJo (Matt) Padgett; great grandchildren, Addison, Joseph and Opal Padgett and a host of extended loving family members and friends.

Funeral services for our "Meme" will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home, Warrior, on Thursday, January 26, 2023.  Visitation for family and friends will be at 10:00am with the service beginning at 11:00am; burial will follow in Warrior Cemetery.  Bro. Chris Chambless will officiate.
