Gary Mason Warden of Oneonta, Ala. passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the age of 36.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Gary Bruce Warden; grandparents Joe Banks, Carolyn & Joe Wires, and Fred & Joyce Warden. He is survived by his son, Asa Warden; son's mother, Hannah Culpepper Warden; mother, Suzette Brown (David); siblings Anthony, Jennifer, Jason (Marisa), David (Amanda), and Kaylon (Brittany); as well as many nieces and nephews. Gary is so deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation and funeral service will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 20. The family will receive guests in the chapel from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., and the funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Immediately following the funeral service, everyone will travel of their own accord to Sardis Cemetery in Cordova, Ala., where we will all reconvene graveside for a brief committal service prior to interment.
