George Ray James of Warrior, Ala. passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the age of 71.

George Ray James was born on August 20, 1954, to John Curtis James and Opal McHan James. He passed away on November 20, 2025.

George was saved and baptised at New Bethel Baptist Church in 1974. He graduated from Corner High School that same year. In 1978, he married Teresa Smith, and together they resided near Warrior, Alabama for 47 years.

George and Teresa have two children, Brande Plaxco and George Joshua, and three grandsons.

George worked at Pinson Valley Heat Treating for many years. He had several brothers and sisters, along with many nieces and nephews. He loved flowers and animals, and he was known for his gentleness, devotion, and kindness to others. George was loved by many, and he will be deeply missed until we see him again in heaven.

Graveside service for George will be held at New Bethel Cemetery on Saturday morning, November 22, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow immediately after the committal.
