Mrs. Gereldean Tumblin Phelps was born to Hubert and Emma Tumblin on April, 25, 1937, and took leave of this world on December 19, 2023. Mrs. Phelps was the true definition of a "Proverbs 31 woman," and a nurturing mother who raised her three children in a loving, God-fearing, Christian home. She loved her husband and family dearly, but loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ above all. We take comfort in knowing that she is finally at rest in His loving arms.

Gereldean was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie "Pete" Phelps; parents, Hubert Edward and Emma Jean Tumblin; and two brothers, Ellard and Gene Tumblin. She is survived by her children, Randy (Trish) Phelps, Jimmy Ray (Amy) Phelps, and Allison Sanford (Tim); grandchildren: Terry, Christy, Michelle, Cassidy, Jacob, Emma, Brody, Aiden, Rylan, Kristin, Tonya, and Wesley; great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Andrew,  Allie, Jeremy, Bella, Jerry Wayne, and Leo; two great-great-grandchildren, Lainey Claire and Asher; her brother, Alfred Tumblin; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family members who will all miss her greatly.

There will be a visitation at Elvester Baptist Church on Thursday, December 21, from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service which will begin at noon. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery, Elvester Cemetery in Warrior, Alabama.
