Wyman Owens, of Hayden, Alabama, passed from this life, May 8, 2021. He was born June 28, 1947 to Gloy and Pearlie May Owens. Wyman worked for many years in the coal industry and was a faithful employee until his retirement from Drummond Company's Shoal Creek Mine. He will always be remembered as a loving, devoted, and caring father, husband, and grandfather.

Wyman was preceded in death by his parents, Gloy and Pearlie Mae; daughter, Sandy Owens: brothers, Asberry (A.B.), Owens, Don Owens, Joe Neil Owens (Melody); sister, Joanie Orfanidis (Bill). He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Kathy Owens; daughter, Wendy Owens; grandchildren, Austen Owens, Kaitlyn M. Steel, and Ethan Owens; brothers, Ray Owens, Jackie Owens (Nancy, Mike (Terry) Owens; sister, Beatrice Owens Stewart (Jerry); many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Thursday, May 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be held at Ricetown Cemetery.
