Harlond Mitchell Jones, age 89, of Pinson, Alabama, entered into eternal rest December 4, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Reese and Violet Jones; wife, Carol Jones; daughter, Donna Michelle Jones; grandson, Joseph Hillin; siblings, Bruce Jones, Elloise Terry, Ruth Latham, Sue Pate. He is survived by his son, Ladd (Michelle) Jones; grandchildren, Melanie (John) Verbitski, Vaiden Jones, Abby Jones; great-grandchildren, Vivian Hillin, Olivia Verbitski; siblings, Rodney Jones and Carolyn Seaver. Harlond was a graduate and three-sport athlete of Warrior High School, where he remained active in the alumni association for many years. He was an army veteran, having served his country in the Korean War. He continued his support of VA efforts as long as he was able. Harlond retired from a long and successful business career in sales. He loved and supported Auburn Athletics. He will be remembered as a loving and supportive father and grandfather. Visitation will be held in the chapel from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. December 8, 2021, followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
