Herbert Herschel Calvert, age 77, of Warrior, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, March 21, 2021. Herbert was a loving husband, father and brother, and was always full of fun. "PawPaw" always cut up with his family, and they meant the world to him. After decades of service, he retired as a truck driver from Siskin Steel. Herbert was a faithful member and deacon at Kimberly First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and a sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Becky; children, Mark (Renee) Calvert, Jeff (Amy) Calvert, and Gina (Kevin) Barnett; nine grandchildren, Vanna (Stephen) Thomas, Brooke Calvert, Seth Barnett, Hope (Dakota) McCormack, Laura (Tyler) Herring, Kellyn Calvert, Will Barnett, Avery Calvert, and Faith (Chris) Shirley; seven great-grandchildren, Zavier Burrow, Kylie Killough, Ava Burrow, Kynlie Thomas, Carter Herring, Emme Herring, and Jace Thomas. Visitation for Herbert will be at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 24, from 11:00am-12:00pm. Funeral service will be at 12:00pm in the chapel. Interment will be at Bethel Cemetery, Pinson.
