Huey James Vaughn, age 86, of Trafford, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 3, 2023. Mr Vaughn was was retired from U.S. Gypsum. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hamilton M. and Fannie M. Vaughn; brother, Austal M. Vaughn. Mr. Vaughn is survived by his devoted wife, Reba Vaughn; son, Lamar Vaughn; stepson, Rex Burtram; special step-grandsons, Allen Burtram and Daniel Burtram; 1 great grand-child; 2 step-great-grandchildren; a host of extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home (Warrior, Alabama) Saturday,July 8, 2023 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. funeral service to immediately follow, Rev. Billy Patterson officiating. Burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery, Pinson, Alabama. Pallbearers will be Allen Burtram, Neal Hallman, Michael Halllman, Lorin Prince, Leman Patterson, Richard "Bubba" Floyd.
