Ida "Buttercup" Phillips, age 90, of Sumiton, Alabama, passed away February 6, 2020. Buttercup was born on October 21, 1929, and always told anyone she met that she was 29 years old and her sassy, outgoing, talk-to-anyone attitude made it impossible for anyone to question it. She is proceeded in death by her parents, John-Henry and Alta Cordar; 1st husband, William Riley; son, Maury Riley; daughter-in-law, Margie Riley; 4 brothers, 3 sisters, a niece, a granddaughter, and a great granddaughter. Buttercup is survived by her sons, John Riley and Tony Phillips (Father-Larry Phillips); 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and numerous other loved ones and many "boyfriends". Visitation will be Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 12:00pm for family, 1:00pm for friends with services following at 2:00pm. Burial will be at New Horizon in Dora, AL.
