Jackie Nell Cato, age 88, of Fultondale, Alabama passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024. Jackie was born on August 15, 1936.

Jackie worked for 41 years in the optical business, and retired from it in 2001.

She was a gentle, loving, caring person who thought of everyone but herself. She loved taking care of her mother, taking her to see family and friends, going grocery shopping, and to doctor appointments. She also loved Alabama football, crossword puzzles, old western movies and reality TV shows.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Roselle Cato; siblings, Geraldine Cato, Doris Huffstutler, June Saleeby, Jerome Cato and James Cato.

Those who are left behind to cherish her memories are her siblings, Clifford Cato and Norma Hopper, along with a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held at County Line Baptist Church on Friday, December 6, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Special music will be performed by Ronald Cato during the visitation, with Joe Wallis singing Precious Memories at the conclusion of visitation. Immediately following the conclusion of visitation, all in attendance will reconvene in the adjoining cemetery for the graveside service, which will be officiated by Pastor Mark Moon.
