James Robert Ledlow, born June 17, 1943, passed from this life into Heaven on June 14, 2020. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved people and could always bring a smile or laugh to the conversation. He proudly served in the United States Navy for 4 years, and was employed in the construction industry for 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, R.V. Ledlow and Ellen Ledlow (Ogletree); brothers, Willie and Roger Ledlow; and sister, Alice Tumblin. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Dorothy Goodwin Ledlow; sons, Jimmy (Johna) Ledlow and Brian (Denise) Ledlow; grandchildren, Megan (Taylor) Scott and Nicholas Ledlow; great-grandchild, Eli Scott; sisters, Bonnie Childers, Essie Ragland, Dora (David) Barnett; brother, Dan (Debbie) Ledlow; as well as a host of family and friends. A visitation for James will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 17, from 10:00am- 11:00am. A graveside service at Watt's Union Cemetery will begin at 11:30am.
