James "Smokey" Earl Lowe Sr., age 72, of Warrior, Alabama, passed away on January 11, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia Ann Cirak Lowe. He is survived by his two brothers and one sister; his sons, Steve Lowe (Cindy) and James E Lowe Jr. (Casey Cherry); daughter, Barbie Lowe (John "Punky" Patterson); 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Smokey was a faithful husband, beloved grandfather, great-grandfather, a loyal friend to many. He had a passion for racing and mechanic work. He was friendly to all and never met a stranger. His tender heart and generous soul will be adored and missed by everyone who knew him. There will be a visitation for Mr. Lowe at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on January 16, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with funeral services to start at 2:00 PM. Burial to follow at Stewart Chapel Cemetery.
