James L. Winnett, age 74, of Trafford, AL entered the gates of Heaven on Friday, June 10, 2022. Lewis was a loving husband, Daddy and PawPaw, and will be missed dearly. He was an avid fisherman and loved to drive his truck. When he was not on the road working, he loved to cook. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, James and Kathryn Gill; daughter, Michelle Winnett; and brother, Eddie Gill. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Winnett; son, Tommy Winnett; stepsons, Dale and Matthew Hill; grandchildren, Brittany Jacobs, Justin Barnett, Jarrett Barnett, Jason Witt and Bella Hill; great-grandchildren, Rylee and Ryder Jacobs, Ryland Reno and Blakely Moore; and sister, Martha Hogeland. A visitation for Mr. Winnett will be held at Love's Crossing Church of God in Trafford on Wednesday, June 15, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Jones to officiate. Interment to follow at Elvester Cemetery.
