Beulah Jane McAnnally Gamble, age 95, of Hanceville, Alabama went to Glory peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family and caregivers.
Jane is survived by her children, Debbie Price (Gene) and Mark Gamble; grandchildren, Nicholas Price (Shauna), Mason Gamble and Kendall Higdon (Bobby); great-grandchildren, Bella Marintsch, Peyton Price, Bennett Drinkard, Jaxon Jones, Parker Price and Barrett Higdon; sisters, Carolyn Adams and Nell Butts; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Ruby McAnnally; husband, J.C. Gamble; daughter, Cathy Berry; grandchildren, Lance Price and C.J. Berry; brothers, Norman, James and Joe McAnnally; and sisters, Betty Dial and Lois Wideman.
Jane was a graduate of J.B. Pennington High School in Blountsville, Alabama. She attended the School of Business at Birmingham Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama, and worked as a secretary at Liberty National Insurance Company, also in Birmingham. On September 18, 1954, she married J.C. Gamble. Jane was a faithful Christian and long-time member of New Union Missionary Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a loving sister. Jane will surely be missed by all who knew and love her.
For the excellent care they provided Mrs. Gamble, the Gamble and Price family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to her caregivers, Martha Hart, Sharon Cook and Rhonda Lewis; Southern Care Hospice; her nurses, Jordan, Brittany and Carla; her aides, Katie, Ashley and Marianna; and the social worker, Karen. Thank you all for everything you've done.
A graveside service for Mrs. Gamble, officiated by Rev. Doug Pitts, will be held at Garden City Cemetery on Tuesday, May 5, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
