Jerrie H. Campbell, of Hayden, Alabama, entered into this world on October 6, 1941, and departed from it on Sunday, April 20, 2025.

Jerrie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lillian (Tingle) and Henry Bethel Hamrick; her sister, Linda (Lonnie) Shaver; her first husband, Lynn Harlan Mitchell; her son, Sandy Wayne Mitchell; and her second husband, Wayne C. Campbell.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Terry) Chappell; sons, Tony (Michele) Mitchell and Michael (Pam) Mitchell; her grandchildren, Scott Thomas, Carrie Mitchell, Caleb Mitchell, Candi (Judah) Young, and Quaide Mitchell; and her brother, Sam (Helen) Hamrick.

Jerrie was known for being a very determined woman with a strong work ethic, who worked hard to ensure that she accomplished all the goals that she set for herself. Her grandchildren were of the utmost importance to her, and she treasured the relationships that she had with her extended family. She also maintained many close friendships throughout her lifetime. Her presence in our family will definitely be missed.

The visitation will be held in the chapel of Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Friday, April 25. The chapel doors will be opened for the family to begin receiving guests at 10:00 a.m., and the funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Immediately following the funeral service, we will reconvene graveside in Mt. Zion Cemetery for a brief committal service, just before interment.
