Obituary

Jerry LeCroy Sr. was born on November 29, 1939, and passed away on October 20, 2026. He lived a life filled with faith, love, and devotion to his family. He married his beloved wife, Marcille (Starnes) LeCroy, on January 29, 1956. Together they built a life and a family, sharing many years of memories that will be cherished for generations to come.

Jerry was a deacon at North Highland Baptist Church, where he faithfully served the Lord and worked with the Royal Ambassadors (RAs). His faith was an important part of his life, and he showed that faith through his dedication to his church and the love he gave to those around him, He was a kind, gentle, and sweet-loving man who touched the lives of the people blessed enough to know him.

Some of Jerry's fondest memories were made at Guntersville Lake, where he enjoyed spending time fishing and whittling wood by hand. He found happiness in the simple things in life, whether it was sitting by the water with a fishing pole or carving something from a piece of wood. These are the moments his family will remember and treasure, little pieces of the life he loved and the man he was.

Above all, Jerry loved his Lord, his wife, and his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. The love he shared with his family leaves behind a legacy that will continue through the generations.

jerry was preceded in death by his son, Jerry LeCroy Jr., his parents, Ira LeCroy and Mary Lee (Graves) LeCroy; and his brother, Gene Howard LeCroy. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Marcille (Starnes) LeCroy; his daughter-in-law, Vickie LeCroy; his grandchildren, Ashley (Braxton) Horton and Jeremy (Jill) LeCroy; and his great-grandchildren, Alyssa LeCroy, Kyler LeCroy, Makayla Horton, Bentley LeCroy, and Kaylee Horton. He also leaves behind other family members and loved ones who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Though his family will miss him more than words can express, they find comfort in knowing that Jerry is at peace with the Lord. The memories made at Guntersville Lake, the things he created with his hands, the faith he lived by, and the love he gave so freely will remain with his family always. he will be remembered not only for the live he lived, but for the love he leaves behind.
