Jerry Ann Rickels Ehrgood, age 84, of Gardendale, AL, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021. Jerry moved from Warrior, Alabama to Columbus, Georgia, where she finished school. After school, she worked with The Waterworks for 12 years, before beginning her career as a Federal Operating Accountant at Fort Benning, where she worked for 35+ years. She then returned to Alabama in 2015, to be near family. Jerry was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Gladys Rickels; husband, Jimmy Ehrgood; and siblings Elizabeth Smith, Edith Johnson, Margurite Franklin, Helen Houston, Kenneth Rickels, and C.E. Rickels Sr. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Regina Lindsay, Delores Bruno, Jennifer Vivar, Rodney Rickels, Anita Cupps, Sharon Steele, and C.E. "Butch" Rickels Jr.; as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Ehrgood at Morris Cemetery on Monday, November 22, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
