Jimmy Kevin Armstrong, better known to his friends and family as Bobo, age 61, of Warrior, Alabama, passed to his heavenly home, July 27, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Bea Armstrong; grandparents, Pearl and Walter Armstrong, Lettie and Epps Johnson; brother-in-law, Jeff Lang. He is survived by his brothers, Darryl (Ronda) Armstrong, Steve (Jill) Armstrong; sisters, Tammy Lang, Tonya (Michael) Fetner; aunt, Vera Stalkman; nieces and nephews, Anthony (Morgan) Amrstrong, Tabitha (Ryan) Guthrie, Tara (Britt) Hughes, Dustin (Miranda) Armstrong, Bobby (Kristen) Lang, Teresa Lang, Kristen (Corey) Hart, Lilly Rooker, Reagan and Reece Armstrong, Chandler (Hunter) Rhoades; great nieces and nephews, Tralyn, Tamryn, Tynslee, Brylee, Connor, Rory, Linley, and Kora; best friend, Randy (Eva) Sherrell; special friends, Sheila Posey and Diane Lumpkin. Jimmy loved Alabama football, gospel music, banana splits, and watching Impractical Jokers . He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Jimmy suffered a traumatic brain injury from an auto accident at the age of 18. From that point on he was lovingly cared for by parents up until their passing in January 2021. Since their passing, his siblings took over his care. Although he never had the privilege to marry or have a family of his own, there has never been a man more loved by any kids or anyone else. The family would like to extend a loving thanks to Jimmy's daytime caregiver, Cindy Garrett, his weekly masseuse, Leah Weatherby, and his long-time nurse, Dana Lowery. We don't know what we would have done without these wonderful ladies. Additionally, the family would also like to extend a sincere thanks to Rachel Steil, CRNP at Cullman Regional Medical Center. Not only did she give impeccable care to Jimmy during his stay, she also offered support and kindness to our family that we are so grateful for. Family will receive friends at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. The funeral service for Mr. Armstrong will be at Oak Grove Baptist Church (Co. Rd. 9, Hayden) beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022.
