Mr. Jimmy Calvert, age 80, of Chelsea, Alabama, passed to his eternal life on Monday, May 9, 2022. He was preceded in death by father, Rev. Charles E. Calvert; mother, Dessie Calvert; brothers, Sonney Calvert, Greg Calvert. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Calvert; son, Jeff Calvert and his wife, Wendy; daughter, Stacey Blakemore and her husband, Doug; grandchildren, Josh, Eli, and Abbi Calvert, Maddie, Walt, and Jack Blakemore; sister, Charlotte Osbourn and her husband, Ken; and several nieces and nephews. Jimmy loved his family. His perfect day was doing anything with his whole family gathered together. He enjoyed fishing, cooking out, watching and talking baseball, basketball, and football, and watching his grandchildren participate in their activities. Family will receive friends in the chapel from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2022. A chapel service will follow immediately at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Elvester Cemetery, Warrior, Alabama.
