Mrs. Joan White, 72, of Warrior, Alabama, was called to her heavenly home, Thursday, August 19, 2021. She was born in Michigan City, Indiana, January 7, 1949, to the late Frank and Clara Behner. She was also preceded in death by her siblings; Jean Orr,  Bill Behner, Louie Behner,  Joe Behner,  Phyllis Kramer, and Carol Murray; first husband,  Bobby Joe Higginbotham, and second husband, Charles W. White. She is survived by her children; Bobbie Higginbotham,  Robert (Shannon) Higginbotham, April (Chris) Jones, Timothy (Anita) Higginbotham, and granddaughter,  Brittany Higginbotham.  She had twelve grandchildren  and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was a dedicated member of Warrior Independent Church of God for thirty-one years, where she sang in the choir. She was an active member of Warrior Senior Center, where she enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, and Yahtzee with friends. Joan was a God-fearing woman. She exemplified Christ to every person she met. She was shy and soft-spoken, unless you were beating her in a game of Yahtzee or cards. She loved to sing and listen to worship music. Joan loved to laugh and be around her family and friends, and she never missed an opportunity to go to church. If you knew her, you knew she loved you "a bushel and a peck a hug around the neck."
