John Joseph "JJ" Bailey of Warrior, Ala. passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the age of 55.

One of JJ's proudest moments was becoming a father and proudly answering to his new title of "Daddy." He loved his son, Jared, with all his heart and was always so very proud of him. That same love and pride was extended to his entire family, as every one of them meant so much to him. JJ's love was not reserved only for his family, as he also knew his personal savior, Jesus Christ, and was unashamed in telling of his love for God. He was always a man of his word and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need of it, whether he knew them or not. His favorite hobbies were playing music, singing, and cheering for his football team, the Alabama Crimson Tide! Last but not least, Jared says that his Daddy was his hero and was always there when Jared needed him. There's no doubt that Heaven is now sweeter with JJ there.

JJ was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil John "CJ" Bailey and Pauline Ellen Bailey; and his brother, Cecil Wayne Bailey. He is survived by his son, Jared Daniel Bailey; sisters, Misty Bailey, Leslie Logan, and Renee Bailey; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nephews and one great-niece.

A visitation for JJ will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 18, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Rooster Kilgore will be officiating. Interment to follow at Morris Cemetery.
