John Lee
Bratton, Jr.
Jan 11, 1965 — Apr 24, 2020
Theodore
John Lee Bratton, Jr., age 55, of Theodore, Alabama, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020. Daddy had eyes as blue as the waters in the Bahamas, and a smile like a flash of lightning across the sky on a hot summer day. His belly laugh was infectious and could have us rolling in the floor. He always had at least five projects going on the house and at least one vehicle. He was happiest when he was near the water or driving in his Jeep. We will miss him every day. He lived and died by his motto "Salt water heals the body and the soul. Salt on the rim of your margarita glass is the icing on the cake." Lee was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, John Lee Bratton Sr.; uncle, Johnny Salterfield; and nephew, John Lee Loggins. He is survived by his youngest daughter, Amber (Will) Crowder and first grandchild, Baby Crowder; eldest daughter, Heather (Ryan) Seymore; mother, Patricia Reynolds (Paul P.); brother, Kerry Bratton; sister, Sonya Bratton; nephews, Daniel Loggins, Casey Chamblee and Dustin Bratton, and their spouses; niece, Courtney Lawson and her spouse; and the mother of his daughters, Annette Shiflett.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made, in memory of Lee, to St. Jude's Children's Hospital Memorial Giving at stjude.org/memorial
A private graveside service will be held for Mr. Bratton, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
