John Stephen Goodwin, age 68, of Warrior, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023. He was born in Birmingham on November 5, 1954, to Clarence and Ethel Goodwin. John proudly served his country in the United States Army. He never met a stranger, he had a true passion for helping others, and he loved being surrounded by family. He will be greatly missed and remembered fondly by all those who knew and loved him.

John was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Clarence and Ethel Goodwin.
He is survived by his children: Ivana (Chris) Sullivan, Ashley (Jason) Manning, and Joshua Goodwin; and his four
grandchildren: Luke and Camden Manning, Blaze Sullivan, and Adalynn Goodwin.

A memorial service for John will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Friday, June 9, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
