John Hicks, age 87, of Pinson, AL passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022. John served as a deacon of Hopewell Baptist Church, and also served in the Army. He loved the outdoors, including gardening and fishing. He worked at Clarklift of Alabama, and Loving Life. John was preceded in death by his parents, Braxton and Ollie Mae Hicks; and brothers, Lesley and O.B. Hicks. He is survived by his wife, Grace Hicks; children, Tommy, Jean, David (Eileen; grandchildren, Derrick, Robert, and Barbara (Scott); great-grandchildren, Aubrey Mae and Grace Ann; sister, Sandra (Herman); as well as numerous friends. Funeral service will be held graveside Friday, June 3, 2022, 2:00 PM at Hopewell Cemetery, Pinson. Officiating Terry Lynn, Melissa Lynn to sing.
