John Michael Jenkins, age 70, of Hayden, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. John was a longtime member of Jefferson County Farmers Federation and Jefferson County Cattleman Association. He was preceded in death by his father, John Ambrose Jenkins and mother, Joyce Marguerite Byrum Jenkins. He is survived by his wife, Mavis Graves Jenkins; son, Barry Jenkins (Candy); granddaughter, Taylor Jenkins; sisters Linda Jenkins Hill (Steven) of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Diane Jenkins Hines (David) of Huntsville, Alabama; sisters-in-law Reba Denney (Del) of Eva, Alabama, and Nita Garrett (Mark) of Hixson, Tennessee; special family friend Chris Myrick, his wife Heather Myrick and their son Cody; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A visitation for John will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Friday, March 6, from 11:00am-12:00pm, with funeral service beginning at 12:00pm. Burial to follow at Graves Gap Cemetery.
