Mr. John E. Tyler, age 93, of Trafford, Al, was called to rest, Thursday, September 28, 2023, at his home. The family will have a visitation time with extended family and friends at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home Tuesday evening, October 3, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. He is survived by his son, Charles Freddy Engler; daughters, Donna K. Melvin; Kelly Shoemaker (Mike); nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his daughter, Debra Campbell (and Scott); 2 grandchildren; parents, George Barnette and Zella Mae Tyler; 5 brothers; 2 sisters. He lived a long, happy life, the "Uncle John" way...fishing, singing, farming, and "Goin' down to the River, " singing all the way. He passed peacefully, surrounded by family talking Trafford shennanigans. Loved by many, he will be greatly missed.
