Johnny R. Doss, age 67, was born on September 9, 1955 at Carraway Hospital to Henry "Arkie" and Melissia Doss of Kimberly, Alabama. He went home to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on December 22, 2022. He was a kind and generous person who always tried to help those in need, like paying people's rent or buying groceries and medicine for strangers in line at the store. Even when he didn't have much, he would go without to make sure others were taken care of. He loved Jesus and his family very much, they were very important to him. He was a loyal person, a hard worker, diligent, never taking a sick day. He loved being outside, taking long walks, fishing, camping, farming and beekeeping. He loved to grill and have bonfires, listen to music, crack jokes, drive his S10 pickup truck and tractor, and take road trips with his wife and children. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Henry "Arkie" Doss and Melissia A. Anderson Doss; and sister, Karron Doss Carter. He is survived by his wife, Donna J. Beason Doss; children, Kevin L. Doss (Stephanie), Jonathan A. Doss, Rebekah D. Doss, and Emily M. Doss; granddaughter, Jordan P. Doss; brother, Karry Doss (Rhonda); uncle, Alvin Anderson (Kathy); as well as a host of nieces and nephews, and his Beason family. A visitation for Johnny will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with funeral service beginning at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Liberty Minter Cemetery.
