Joyce Calvert, 79, of Warrior, AL, p assed on to heaven on March 19th, 2022.  She is survived by her sons, Heath Calvert and his wife Tracy of Mount Olive; Hugh Calvert and his wife Aimee of Brentwood, TN; 5 grandchildren; Reid Calvert, 21; Kristen Calvert, 20; Katie Calvert, 17; Faythe Calvert, 16; and Kenzie Calvert, 13.  She was preceded in death by her husband Sonney, her parents, Gloy and Mauddean Reid, and her brothers Mitchell and JC.  Born on November 26, 1942, she was a proud graduate from Warrior High School in 1961.  Joyce was a woman of faith, giving her life to Christ when she was young.  She loved the Lord and her church family.  She enjoyed singing praises in the choir, serving on the Hospitality Committee and serving alongside her husband, Sonney.  Previously, she served in the community as a Cub Scout Den Leader and mother to two active sons and a community of boys.  Visitation will be at New Bethel Baptist Church on March 25 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with immediate family time at 5:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at New Bethel Baptist Church on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joyce's honor to either New Bethel Baptist Church or the Cane Creek Food Bank, two organizations that were near to her heart.
