Judy Spradlin Connell, age 68, of Gardendale,  Alabama,  passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus Saturday,  July 23, 2022.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Odis and Luella Spradlin; sister, Sara Thomas; father-in-law, Bobby Connell; mother-in-law, Frances Connell; sister-in-law, Patricia Drake. She is survived her husband, Michael Connell; sons, McKinley (Denise) Chambers; Vann Connell; daughter, Amanda Connell; grandchildren, Browning Connell, Devin Williamson, Bradley and Gabriel Goodwin; sisters, Rita Snow, Pam (Paul Partridge) McMickens; a host a beloved family and friends. Judy was a wonderful, supportive, loving wife and mother. She had a generous and giving spirit, a dry wit, and big heart for others. Judy retired from Magnolia Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after thirty-two years in the health care field. She enjoyed caring for the elderly and truly believed it was her calling. Judy was a special person and her parting has left a deep void in many hearts. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home chapel Monday, July 25, 2022 with  funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. Brother Matt Wilson will be officiating the funeral service. Interment will be at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, Alabama.
