Julius "Little Chief One Feather" Fred Childers passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at age 91. He is preceded in death by his father, W.D. Childers and mother, Nellie Childers; sister, Trilby Early; and infant brother, Ulius Childers. Julius is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Childers; children, Larry (Donna) Childers, Rickey (Carolyn) Childers, and Regina (Tommy) Austin; stepdaughters, Lynn (Mike) Gilbert and Nona Reid; six grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Hysion Foster; and a host of nieces and nephews. He worked in the meat processing industry, coal mining industry and construction. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 8, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Billy Patterson officiating. Burial will be at Elvester Cemetery with Pall Bearers: Kevin Childers, Keith Childers, Kaleb Childers, Mike Dowdy, Roger Foster, and Mason Dowdy Honorary – Keaton Childers.
