Justin Scott Reid, born July 28, 1998, age 25, of Empire, Alabama,  passed away at UAB Hospital Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

Justin was a loving son, brother, uncle, grandchild, friend and co-worker. Justin enjoyed the outdoors, rambling through the woods and searching the beaches for treasures. Justin enjoyed tinkering and creating items out of random things he found on his outings. he loved running and playing in the yard with nieces and nephew. Justin and his mom spent hours on the front porch goofing off, making jokes and discussing their day. Justin was a fun loving, silly free spirited individual.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather J.C. Reid. He is survived by his father, Scott Reid, mother Miranda Reid, brother Jacob (Brittany) Walker, grandmother Katrina Owens, grandfather Louie Owens, grandmother Barbara (Floyd) Calvert , nieces; Vivian Weaver, Cathie Walker, nephew Jack Walker, uncles; Mitchell (Kelley) Owens, Brian (Dana) Reid, Mark Reid, Keith (Francine) Reid. And a host of cousin, coworkers, and loved ones. Justin will be dearly missed by all who knew him and loved him. May you fly high sweet boy.

A visitation will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 1:00-3:00 p.m., with funeral service beginning immediately after visitation. Interment will be at Sulpher Springs Cemetery.
