Kathy Renee Childers, age 65, of Warrior, Alabama, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024. Born in Birmingham, Alabama on October 13, 1958 to Eugene and Ann Adaway, whom she loved very much for the rest of her natural life. She was married to her husband, Bruce, for 36 years. To know Kathy was to love her. She never met a stranger. She had a few jobs throughout her life, but being a homemaker was where she thrived the most. She was the strongest person in the world - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. She loved her children more than life itself. For us she would move mountains. We never had to wonder if we were loved. One thing we know is that she loved us wholeheartedly, and unconditionally. She loved to spend time with her family and read her Bible. She loved to tell past stories and adventures during our childhood. She had an amazing memory. She will be remembered for how caring and loving she was. Some of her favorite Bible verses were: Psalms 61:2, Romans 10:10 and Romans 12:2.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Ann Adaway. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Childers; children, Tiffanie Downs (Ronnie) and Chris White; siblings, Tim Adaway, Vicki Barnwell and Ginger Campbell (Charles); best friend, Janet Scoggins; as well as a host of nieces, nephew, extended family and friends.
