Obituary

Kenneth Randall Standridge, affectionately known as "Boog" by those who knew him best, passed away on July 27, 2026, at the age of 72. A longtime resident of Hayden, Alabama, Boog was born on September 2, 1953.

Boog was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Sr. and Estelle Standridge, and his younger brothers, Larry "Frog" Standridge and William "Big Will" Standridge, Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Susan Green Standridge; his beloved daughter, Heidi; his son-in-law, whom he greatly trusted and respected, Jeff Baker; and his three cherished grandchildren, Jack, Bo, and Eleanor Baker, who brought him endless pride and joy. They were the loves of his life. He also leaves behind his younger siblings, sisters Susan Hoyle, Sharron Otterson, and brother Curt Standridge. In addition, he is survived by his nephews, Josh Perrymon (Tamika), Will Standridge (Amanda), Mike Standridge, Billy Standridge (Shannon), Bart Perrymon (Virginia), Chase Hoyle (Caitlyn), and Cade Overbeek, and his nieces, Codie Davis (Ryan), Destinee Wheeler (Ben) along with great-nephews and nieces, many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Boog will be remembered for his CAN-DO attitude. There was nothing that he could not do. He had a larger-than-life personality, a quick wit, and his ability to teach a life lesson in just about any situation. Whether he was spending a day fishing, teaching his grandsons how to fish, sharing stories of all the miles he trucked and places he went, or simply enjoying time with those he loved, he made an impression that won't soon be forgotten. More than anything, Boog loved his family with all that he had for as long as he could. Though his presence will be deeply missed, his legacy lives on in the stories he told, the lessons he shared, and the life he lived to the fullest. His legacy will continue through his daughter, son-in-law, and his precious grandbabies.
