Kenneth Russell Tolbert, age 57 of Hayden, Alabama, was called to eternal peace Monday, October 17, 2022.  Kenneth was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ervin L. and Ora Lee Tolbert; brothers, Wayne and William (Billy) Tolbert, Wallace Banks; sisters, Janice Pharris, Jackie Brown; son, Joey Tolbert. He is survived by his wife, Shelly Tolbert; sons, Josh (Kara) Tolbert, Jonathan (Ashlan) Tolbert, Brandon (Karen)Tolbert; grandchildren, Brooklan, Warren, and Scarlett; sisters, Virginia Winnett, Sherry Tolbert; brothers, Jamie Tolbert, Wayne Banks, Larry Banks; sister, Patricia White; a host of nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends Monday, October 24, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will be at Gethsemane Cemetery in Hayden, Alabama. He enjoyed hunting, horse riding, and camping with friends. He started his own construction company back in 1999, and he and Shelly grew Tolbert Construction for the next 20 years. His stories, jokes and laughter will be missed by all. Roll Tide!
