Larry Wayne Acton, 71, passed away surrounded by loving family on Friday, July 26, 2019.

Larry was a lifetime resident of Blount County and graduated from Hayden high school in 1966.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Elizabeth Acton; parents, Lonnie and Ada Acton; four brothers, Donald, Horace, Gene and Nelson Acton; and two sisters, Vena Himmelreich and Maxine Smith.

Larry is survived by his loving wife Rheba Johns Acton; two sons, Larry Wayne (Jenny) Acton Jr of Pell City, AL and Thomas (Jennifer) Acton of Hayden, AL; one daughter, Sarah Acton of Houston, Tx., two grandsons, Brandon (Marissa) Acton and Jacob Acton; two granddaughters, Samantha and Savannah Acton; and two brothers, Milton Acton of Panama City, Fl., and Billy Ray Acton of Duck Town, Tn.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home.  The funeral Service will be on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 11:00am also at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home, with burial at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.  Preacher Kyle Ellison will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, family would like donations to be made to Sulphur Springs Cemetery at 1073 Double Pond Trail, Hayden Al 35079 or to the Cullman Regional Hospice at 1938 AL-157 #102, Cullman, AL 35058 .
