John Larry Barnett, age 71, of Warrior, AL, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Della Barnett; and daughter, Melissa Barnett. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Barnett; children, Lamar (Sherri) Barnett, Michelle (Tony) Mitchell, and Kevin (Gina) Barnett; grandchildren, Seth Barnett, Carrie Mitchell, Caleb Mitchell, Candice (Judah) Young, Jacob Barnett, Will Barnett, Ashlee Barnett, and Brianna Barnett; and siblings, Julie Moore and Jerry Barnett. Larry was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He loved working in his shop and could fix anything. He also loved working outside and planted a garden every year. Larry was a Bama fan, and enjoyed watching Alabama football. A visitation for Mr. Barnett will be held at Kimberly Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 12, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., with funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Bro. Larry Sloan and Bro. Tony Mitchell to officiate. Interment to follow at Warrior Memorial Gardens.
