Larry "Don" Scott, 77 of Hayden passed away peacefully at home Sunday, July 16, 2023. He was born August 5,1945, to Hearmoain and Buman Scott. Don was a graduate of Arab High School Class of 1963 and Joined the Alabama National Guard after high school. June 17, 1966 he married Cecelia Turner and was married 57 years at the time of his passing.

He is survived by his wife Cecelia; daughters, Stacey  Looney (Steve), Tracey Scott, and Donna Scott Austin (Carlos); grandchildren, Joshua Looney (Dawn), Alexa Bryant, KaylaAnn Tadasa (Zach) Monika Williams, Chloe "Scottie" Scott (Dominique), Tyler Austin, Aunrey Austin; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Halley, Ariyanna, Emily, Raiyah, and Alexander.

A visitation will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home Thursday, July 20, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be graveside at Hayden Cemetery Friday, July 21 at 11:00 a.m. Pall bearers will be Joshua Looney, Tracey Scott, Chloe "Scottie" Scott, Tyler Austin, Aunrey Austin, and Chris Beasley.
