Mr. Larry Thomas, age 73, of Warrior, Alabama, passed to his eternal rest January 2, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Fay Thomas; wife, Shirley Thomas; brother, Neil Thomas. He is survived by his son, Craig Thomas (Gina); daughter, Abby Thomas (Joe); grandson, Benjamin Thomas; sisters, Charlotte Stevenson (Mike), Judy Self; sister-in-law, Margie Thomas; many loved nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Larry was a deacon at Elvester Baptist Church, where he loved serving and working. He was the cemetery director for a number of years before health issues interfered with his service. He enjoyed gardening, helping others, and volunteering at his church. Larry was a dependable and supportive brother, always showing strength and stability. He adored his grandson, Benjamin, and he had deep affection for his dog, Sadie. A visitation for Mr. Thomas will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Elvester Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Elvester Cemetery.
