Lester Jackson Goodwin, age 96 of Kimberly Al passed away on Friday November 15, 2019. He was a Godly man who gave his life to Christ in 1950 and never looked back. He was a blessing to so many during his 96 years on this earth. He truly loved his family and got to spend 69 years with the love of his life. He retired from Jim Walter Resources. His hobby was woodworking, He was very creative and could fix anything.

He was proceeded in death by: Jim Goodwin - Father, Daisy Goodwin- Mother, Aubrey Goodwin- Brother, JD Goodwin- Brother, Josh Mayfield- Grandson, Stephen King - Grandson.

He is survived by: Betty Jo Goodwin- Wife, Peggy Mayfield - Daughter, Jackie Pate (Kennith) - Daughter, Robyn King (Edward) - Daughter, Scott Pate (Stacy) - Grandson, Heath Hays (Kat) - Grandson, Trent Hays (Gen) - Grandson, Kevin Pate (Jennifer) - Grandson, Dustin Pugh - Grandson, Sarah Mayfield (Josh), Mike Goodwin - Special Nephew, Eleven Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation for Mr. Goodwin on Tuesday November 19, 2019 at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM with funeral service to start at 1:00 PM. Burial to follow at Morris Cemetery.
