Ms. Lola Mae McCurry, of Warrior, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020. Lola Mae was preceded in death by her father Ervin F. Gilbert; mother Daisy M. Gilbert; husband Bart McCurry; son Freeman Earl Holland; and brothers Thomas Gilbert and Charles Ray Gilbert. She is survived by her son Gerald Holland; daughter Robbin (Steven) Dykes; brother Bob (Mamie) Gilbert; granddaughters, Angela (Robert) McAvoy, Destiny Holland, Julia Shaw; grandson Adam (Kimberly) Scott; great-granddaughters Kaitlyn McAvoy, Kayla (Andrew) Trostel, Emily McAvoy, Alexandra Dane Roundtree, and AdaLyn Piper Scott; great-grandsons Adam Barton Scott and Aidan Barton Scott; and a host of nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Lola Mae was a loyal loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, friend and confidant. She was a faithful christian with a kind and gentle heart to all. She was a member of Warrior Methodist Church. Lola Mae was an avid Alabama football fan- some of the nephews and nieces almost got spankings for pulling for Auburn! She is loved and she will be missed. A treasure has left this earth, but Heaven gained a sweet soul.

The family will have a private graveside service.
