Manning Woodrow Colvin, Jr. of Warrior, Ala. passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the age of 87.

Manning was a proud military veteran who served in the United States National Guard. He worked for Birmingham Spring for 25+ years. He then worked for TruckPro many years, before finally retiring at the age of 81.

Mr. Colvin was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Kathleen Colvin; parents, Manning Colvin, Sr. and Claudine O'Rear Colvin; and siblings, Aggie and James.

He is survived by his son, Troy Colvin (Patricia); grandsons, Kenny and Zack; great-grandson, Brody; and siblings, Phillip and Ruby.

A visitation for Mr. Colvin will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Sunday, May 17, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Immediately following visitation, everyone will travel of their own accord to Sulphur Springs Cemetery, where we will all reconvene at 3:30 p.m. for commencement of the graveside funeral service that will take place prior to interment.
