Marcus Allen McMurrey, age 48, of Hayden, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020. He loves his wife, his three boys, two grandsons and one granddaughter more than life itself, and loved to see them happy. Marcus loved his country, and was proud to serve in the war "Operation Iraqi Freedom." He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerald and Vernie McMurrey. He is survived by his loving wife, Daphne McMurrey; sons, Gregory Allen McMurrey (Jazmen), Chase Parker McMurrey and Cash Jackson McMurrey; brothers, Jerald McMurrey Jr. (Brina); Waylon McMurrey (Candace), and Sean McMurrey; sister, Tammy McMurrey; and grandchildren, Khaleesi, Atreyu and Odis McMurrey. A visitation for Marcus will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 25, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Union Grove Cemetery.
