In loving memory of Marshall Lane Childers, age 88, went home to be with his Lord on April 27, 2019.  He was a lifelong resident of Warrior, Al.

He is preceded in death by his parents Marion H. and Nellie (Dolly) Childers; three brothers, Onnie, Kenneth and Billy Ray; four sisters, Sybil Compton, Vonell Burns, Betty Faye Hampton and Barbara Ann Tolbert.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Bonnie Ledlow Childers; two daughters, Barbara Davis (Jack) and Lynn Barber (Butch); four grandchildren, Christy Martin (Danny), Amy Gattis (Steve), Lane Barber (Kim) and Wesley Barber (Krishna); twelve great grandchildren; one sister, Ruby Nabors (J.R.) and brother Charles Childers.

Services will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home in Warrior.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.  A funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 2:00pm with burial at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.  Pastor David Roper and Jack Davis will officiate.
