Mary Alexander Bottomlee, age 91, of Cedar Hill, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022. Mary had a joyous, peaceful, studious spirit. She was never harsh. She held a unique interest in everyone she met. She was very detail-oriented, which shined as she kept the accounting in her and her husband Karl's many auto businesses. She had a beautiful talent of singing, spending her young adult years teaching music and singing in the Birmingham Civic Opera House. After the birth of her son, Alan, she dedicated her time and hobbies to enrich his childhood. She devoted much of her time to the church, as well. Mary was very kind and silly, and she will be so greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, S. Karl Bottomlee. She is survived by her son, Alan Bottomlee; and granddaughters, Megan Noel and Erin Nicole Bottomlee. A visitation for Mrs. Bottomlee will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Saturday, March 26, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 1:15 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Cemetery.
