Melba Joyce Carr, affectionately known as "Aunt Boots", age 92, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Melba was born on September 14, 1932, to Jim and Josie Carr. She was the last of 9 children, her being the baby of the family.

She loved Jesus, reading her bible, and was called on by many for prayers. She was known for being a strong prayer warrior.

Although Aunt Boots was never a mother, she mothered everyone.

She was dearly loved by her large family, and a host of friends. Aunt Boots will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

There will be a visitation for Aunt Boots at Elvester Baptist Church, Friday, November 15, 2024, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with funeral service to follow.
