Mickey Ray Calloway, age 55, of Trafford, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. Mickey was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Wyatt Calloway; parents, Howard and Christine Calloway; and his children, Regina and Anthony Calloway. He is survived by his children, David Calloway (Kelly), Tiffany Harris (Marcus), and Darien Calloway; grandchildren: Christian, Matthew, Garrett, Memphis, Gabriel, and Leia Calloway, Sean and Michael Wilder, and Jaxon, Tinleigh and Salem Popee; brothers, Mike Calloway (Carol) and Mark Calloway; as well as tons of cousins and very close friends.

Mickey loved his family. He was devoted to his late wife, Frances, who had been his whole world.  He was a proud Pop to his grandbabies, who he adored.  He was a proud patriot, having served his country in the U. S. Army. He was a hard worker, and believed in doing what was right. Mickey loved hard with a big, generous heart, and would give you the shirt off his back. He would make an effort to lighten someone's load if he could. Mickey had a sense of humor, and could be considered everyone's comedian. He could make you laugh and lighten your mood, even when his was not so light. One of his favorite things was riding his motorcycle.  He would ride every chance  he got. Mickey was not a perfect man, but he was loving, didn't back down from what he thought was right, and generous. He will be missed by his family and friends.

A visitation for Mickey will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 15, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the memorial service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment of his cremains will be held at Little Shenandoah Cemetery following the memorial service.
