Mildred Claire Sharp, age 86, of Trafford, AL passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023. Mildred was a devoted member of Warrior Independent Church of God. She was a strong, independent woman, and a faithful servant who loved the Lord and her church family. Not only was Mildred a devoted member of her church, but she was also a devoted and loving mother to four children, grandmother to ten grandchildren, great-grandmother to twenty-five great-grands, great-GREAT-grandmother to two great-great-grandchildren, and companion to her dog, Angel.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Louie Motes; her husband, Wade "Bug" Sharp; her grandson, Adam Pugh; great-granddaughter, Megan Sullivan; and her siblings, Jerry Motes, Faye Davis, and Kerry Reid.

She is survived by her children, Louie (Debra) Sharp, John Sharp, Grace (Michael) Shannan, and David (Sara) Sharp; 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Durwood Motes and Trina and Wayne Neely; and her sweet dog, Angel.

A visitation for Mildred will be held at Warrior Independent Church of God on Sunday, October 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Sis. Donnie will be officiating the funeral service. Immediately following dismissal from the church, we will reconvene in Trafford Cemetery for the interment and committal service. Pallbearers: Ricky Sharp, Jeffrey Sharp, Jay Sharp, Zachary Sharp, Samuel Sharp, and Taylor Sullivan. Honorary Pallbearers: grands and great-grands.
