Norma Ann Robertson (Hart), age 85, of Warrior, AL, formerly of Smokerise, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021. She was born at home on May 21, 1936, in Warrior, Alabama, to Onar and Ada Hart. She attended Warrior Elementary and High School, graduating in the Class of 1954. After graduation, she worked at Standard Oil and then Norwood Clinic, where she retired after 30+ years, in the late 1980's. She married her beloved husband, Tom, in the early 1980's, having found her forever love after many years of being a single mother. She and Tom were active in all areas and outreaches of their church, Smokerise Methodist, and also very active in their community of West Blount and in Blount County. They loved the West Blount community and their friends and neighbors. Christmas was always her favorite holiday, and they worked all year preparing for new and different decorations for their home and yard. She would go to great lengths to prepare the house and cook for weeks in preparation for her family Christmas celebrations. She loved painting, reading and working in her yard with her flowers and plants. She was a green thumb that could bring back half dead plants and make them flourish. Above all else, her family was the core of her existence. She loved her children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren unconditionally. She was the rock of the family and was loved, cherished and adored. She will be so greatly missed. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Onar Hamilton and Ada Whaley Hart; and loving husband, Tom Robertson. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Stover, of Warrior, AL; son, Mark Young (Cheryl) of Simpsonville, South Carolina; grandchildren, Jordan Pugh (Joe), of Hayden, AL, and Mollie Stover (Kevin Newton), of Warrior, AL, Jackson Young of Simpsonville, SC, Anna Claire Young of Simpsonville, SC, Morgan Jackson (Jarrod), of Guntersville, AL, and Payton Morgan (Jason) of Huntsville, AL; brother, Douglas Hart of Trafford, AL; beloved great-grandchildren Harper and Hollin Pugh, Andrew Pugh, Callie Marie Jackson, Wade Michael and Walt Damon Morgan; as well as a host of cherished cousins, family and friends. A visitation for Mrs. Robertson will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Monday, November 8, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Elvester Cemetery.
