Owen G. McCrary of Morris, Alabama passed away Friday, September 4, 2020 from a Covid 19 related illness.  He was 99.

Owen was retired from th e U.S. Post Office where he had 30 years of service.  He thoroughly enjoyed delivering the mail and always had a funny story or a joke to tell ab out events on his route. He en joyed studying his Bible, coo king treats for his family and friends, was a member of First Baptist Church of Gardendale , and a Mason for over 60 years .

Owen wa s predeceased by his wife, Dorothy McCrary , son Ricky McCrary, and stepdaughter Zell Smith . He is survived by his son Dale McCrary of Corona, California; his step daughter Carolyn Pettus (C.G.) of Warrior, Alabama, his granddaugh ter Krista Niedermeier ( Ricky ), grandsons Carl Jacks and Dennis Jacks (Teri Jo) and 7 great grandchildren.

There will be a private gr aveside service for family only at Liberty Cemetery on September 9, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.
