Patricia Bunn was born on September 3, 1958, in Montgomery, Alabama and grew up in Ashland and Wylam. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister to her large family. She was hardworking and loved anything to do with outdoor events, picnics, Easter Sundays at the zoo, July 4th grilling and swimming with her kids and grandkids. She would do anything for her family and friends.
Patricia is preceded in death by both parents Hugh and Lillian Vanderslice and three bothers Charlie, Richard and Carl as well as one sister Frances Davis.
She is survived by daughter Tanya Michelle Garrett (Josh) and grandsons Todd and Jordan.
Son Joe Steven Cornelison and grandson Nevan and granddaughter Elizabeth.
Son Tony Edward Cornelison and grandson Kayden.
Sisters Ruby Burch, Joann Vanderslice (Bud), Barabara Bridges (Jerry).
Brothers Fred Vanderslice, Eddie Vanderslice (Vickie) and Randy Vanderslice (Susan).
Other family members include Ashley Fortenberry and Torie Rutherford (Austin Jr. And Damon)As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins she loved dearly, and they loved her.
Patricia will be greatly missed by the many friends and family she impacted over the years, but her memories and legacy will forever be cherished.

A visitation for Mrs. Bunn will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 7, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with her memorial service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Bro. Guy Moore will be officiating the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either American Stroke Prevention or Palliative Care at UAB Hospital.
